·          The Young Christian Students is a movement among secondary students. It has the specific task of education and formation of the student body, through ongoing action and reflection. Through this students develop and understanding of the world and of their own value and role in society.

·          YCS is committed to working for justice, particularly among students and uses the Review of Life method to identify situations and to take action to correct the injustice they and other students face. It is a local, diocesan, national and international movement that is committed to taking action to change the world.

·          The review of life is a natural process; we see, judge and act every day. The method of the YCS formalizes this process, making us aware of our actions and developing ways to change the outcomes for the better.

·          The YCS challenges students to take action in their lives to change the world around them in accordance with their faith and values.
